About the Faculty

The School’s mission is based on the principles of academic freedom, freedom of conscience, and freedom of choice, and with the involvement of highly qualified and recognized professors in the field of law. 

It aims to: 

  • develop, manage, and implement bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, and certificate programmes/courses;
  • ensure, at all three levels of legal education (bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral), the preparation of highly qualified specialists. This entails equipping students both with theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as fostering their scientific-research skills, in accordance with the national and international standards established for each level of higher legal education.
 

To achieve its mission, the School:

  • Creates and continuously improves an environment that is maximally appealing for students’ learning, research, and self-development;
  • Provides high-quality education in the field of law at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels, in accordance with the legislation of Georgia;
  • Establishes new values in the teaching of law within higher education by employing all modern active teaching methods and by developing innovative and effective curricula;
  • Participates in and independently develops various international projects in cooperation with foreign higher education institutions, and, in accordance with Georgian legislation, ensures both local and international mobility of academic and administrative staff, as well as students;
  • Initiates and carries out scientific research projects in relevant academic disciplines in line with the University Charter;
  • Promotes students’ active participation in school governance and in the implementation of scientific projects;
  • Organizes scientific conferences, seminars, public lectures, and other events to present the results of conducted scientific research to the interested public;
  • Publishes scientific works and academic periodicals;
  • Establishes partnerships with leading educational institutions, academic centers, and/or other organizations in Georgia and abroad, for both one-time projects and long-term educational and scientific-research programmes;
  • Promotes and ensures the professional development of the School’s staff.
